Gathering, Unity, Participation
With great joy unspeakable and full of Glory I give you this Upper Room testimony! As Gail said, "It was beyond my expectations." Fifty four were present. But above all was God's covering, canopy, and tent. (See Isaiah 4:5.) This gathering was the greatest of all Upper Room gatherings! So declared everyone.
Time will not allow me to speak of everyone's participation. Rebecca brought her annual "Smoky Mountain" poetic, prophetic confirming words. Connie ministered the Lord's heart for the broken and forsaken youth who come to her and Ricky (a Marine Vietnam Veteran) for shelter, deliverance, and healing.
Dan gave an arousing and moving Word sprinkled with testimony of God's faithfulness in miraculous healing. And much covered authority resulting from his experiences in law enforcement. James was an apostle of prayer. Daniel's name means "God is Judge". Dan is James Daniel Merck.
State Patrolman Stan Eller spoke in great wisdom about respect, authority, and current national needs. He has served God and Georgia in Law Enforcement authority for 25 years.
Sherrie and Chasen were individually asked by God to sing with great anointing. Among other Holy Spirit led songs, Sherrie sang ":America"; and Chasen sand "To God be the Glory!"
Sobriety, seriousness, and honor came upon and within us all as Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine, and Navy veterans who were present were acknowledged and received fresh anointing for the present and future.
What a God-given HONOR to ordain eight for the Ministry in which God called them. I was so blessed in preparing for this that I thought, "I want to be ordained again." God's Holy presence prevailed!
Many of the 54 present assisted Dan, Bill, and Gail as Ministers of Helps. These were focused, united, and full of love as they served the Lord and others.
Holy Ghost emphasis was 2 Timothy 2:1-3, "Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is Christ Jesus. And the things that thou has heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ." My grandson Jonathon said, "the United States Army values are loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage."
Always remember, "We are always thankful to God as we pray for you all, for we never forget that your faith has meant solid achievement, your love has meant hard work, and the hope that you have in the Lord Jesus Christ means sheer dogged endurance in the life that you live before God, the Father of us all. We know that God not only loves you but has selected you for a special purpose," (2 Thessalonians 1:2-4; Phillips Translation).
